“I am hunting after poor sinners in these ungospelized wilds.”

In the preface to his book on George Whitefield, 1 J P Gledstone quotes Whitefield’s words above concerning his forest preaching. 2

This will make a great motto for us in the light of our Lord’s command ……3

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

We now live a land, where the Gospel is seldom preached to sinners where they are, although it is often preached in Church’s to those who are already claiming to be Christians.

Perhaps 2010 can be an opportunity for all of us to spread the Gospel to sinners with whom we rub shoulders with every day. Most are  lost sheep and need to be found, by the Good Shepherd, who gave his life for the sheep.

May I again wish you all a very Blessed and Spiritually prosperous New Year.

‘We are a long time in learning that all our strength and salvation is in God.’
